In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

My husband and I saw Andrew on vacation last August. We ran into him on the plane and my man just happened to be reading Andrew’s book on his ipad. It was a cool moment when my man stopped Andrew to tell him how he was enjoying his book and that we were both big fans. Andrew was very cool. Andrew joked about signing the ipad. A man full of life and a life well lived. God bless his soul and God bless his family. He was truly a warrior. I am so glad to have met him.

The report of a death by natural causes will produce a fairly short list. A suddent dysrhythmia such as ventricular fibrillation or developement of a third degree A-V block would cause a sudden drop. But even a third degree block will result in a ventricular rate of about 30-40 beats per minute and would not cause a sudden drop. A ruptured aortic aneuysm could cause it. A sudden stroke does not usually result in a sudden drop attack. A pulmonary emolism (massive) would cause it. So this is a short list.

1. Sudden ventricular fibrillation

2.Aortic aneurysm -sudden rupture

3.Pulmonary embolism (massive)

Now, there are many, many things which can cause a quick death over a period of hours to days. But this was a witnessed drop attack. That creates a very short list. There are things which can cause ventricular fibrillation...drugs. There are things which can augment the rupture of an existing aortic aneurysm. There are reasons a person might have a deep veinous thrombosis, which most likely would have been known and under treatment. So this leaves us with only ventriculation, assuming the other conditions are proven not to exist at post.

I would also hasten to say, Mr.Breitbart had many, many enemies. These enemies were, many of them, of a sordid, ruffian, SEIU, union type thugs who Andrew had pissed off. It is not unknown that these types resort to 'unconventional' tactic. We will never know.

I wonder if he had a recent medical examination. HAS he been under the care of a cardiologist? A simply physical examination on a man his size would probably have elicited the findings of an abdomenal aortic aneurysm.

There are many, many things, which are not natural causes which might cause a drop attack...mostly drugs, CN, succinylcholine injected IM (100 mg) would have resulted in apnea and hypoxia and on to sudden death.

I guess the thing which keeps going through my mind is the fact he had many, many enemies, many who held signs and advocated an unfortunent end to their political enemies.

I knew there would be some big news event, to try to steal the thunder of the Cold Case Posse report. I thought it would be too direct for them to assassinate Arpaio or anybody in the posse. Bin Laden’s already dead...

This serves a triple blow, because Breitbart was threatening to expose Obama on other (though somewhat related) issues, and in addition to providing cover for news media not adequately covering the posse’s report it also sends a shot across the bow for any reporters who have already been threatened by Soros several times, to show that Soros still means what he said and the posse’s report isn’t going to change that.

The bad thing (for Soros) is that the timing and visibility of this will strongly corroborate that Soros is playing a deadly game, and very possibly with the aid of covert government technology. Which is the way they’d have to do an assassination to make the timing and manner of death such that it looked like an accident but the news media would realize that it wasn’t - so it would have the appropriate chilling effect.

I wonder if any of Breitbart’s people had requested to be at the posse’s press conference.

Oh my.... what a loss.....

My prayers are with him and his family! God bless them all!

I have to wonder.... how could this be “Natural”? It makes no sense. He was born the same year I was!

The world is a lot dimmer this morning. I feel so bad for his family...

I suppose it’s true that while no one is irreplaceable, nobody can fully replace anyone. Somebody needs to pick up the pole and carry the flag toward the sound of the guns.

Having a hard time with this. Prayers for his family and friends. And may his work not be in vain. He was a brave man, and he cared for this country.

Kristinn- do you know his FR name?

The man was a rock! He reminds me of what the Apostle Peter would have been like...May we all be inspired to pick up and run with the truth and not be afraid.

He had the fire in him to take on the media this campaign. He was fighting back against Alinskyite tactics —especially the race card.

More from Michelle Malkin, she was just with him at a conservative event in Michigan.

..Breitbart was walking near his home in Brentwood, Calif just after midnight Thursday when he collapsed according to his father-in-law Orson Bean. Someone saw Breitbart fall and called 911. Emergency crews tried to revive him and rushed him to the emergency room at UCLA Medical Center, Bean said. He is survived by his wife Susannah Bean Breitbart, 41, and four children

OMG, this is the most terrible thing ever. Prayers for his family.

I was very much looking forward to seeing him again on the NR cruise in November. I met him in '10 and he was just fantastic. What a loss.

Lucky you. The best I’ve done is running into Dr. Coburn and Ollie North (separate incidents...no conspiracy here).

FROM FOX NEWS: Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, his father-in-law Orson Bean said.

Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him. They rushed him to the emergency room at UCLA Medical Center, Bean said. Breitbart had suffered heart problems a year earlier, but Bean said he could not pinpoint what happened.

I am shocked and saddened by his passing. He was a great man and a brave hero, for this country and conservatism, IMO. He WILL be missed.

But his passing seems very suspicious to me. Natural causes? Really? Maybe if you consider the government to be a “natural cause”... I just hope whatever he was planning on exposing, still sees the light of day and his staff continues the good work he had started.

Walking down the street and collapsed. Sadly, the powers that could pull this off is also able to fake autopsies and they control the press. They got M. Monroe.

Anyone who missed his recent CPAC speech, please find that at C-SPAN and watch it when you have time.

That speech was #1 of all the speeches I saw, with Sarah coming in a close second.

God Bless You Andrew.

You were Patriot fighting in the trenches against the filthy godless lefists.

We lost a good man today.

Rest in Peace, you will be sorely missed by this grateful American.
