Malloy at the White House: A surrogate is born?
The CT Mirror ^

In town for the winter meeting of the National Governors Association -- and to strengthen his ties to the Obama administration -- Gov. Dannel Malloy can't hold back his enthusiasm for the president.

Upon leaving the White House Friday after a meeting with President Obama, a group of Democratic governors was asked by an Associated Press reporter if the president could win their state.

She had directed her question at governors of key "purple" swing states that can make or break a White House run.

But Malloy, whose state is among the most loyally Democratic "blue" states, quickly stepped forward to the microphone to answer the reporter's question.

"Oh, no. Not you," the reporter said.

But Malloy continued, undeterred.

"If the American voters vote on jobs, this man is going to get 75 percent of the vote," he said.

Earlier, Malloy said his time with Obama Friday was "the most inspirational meeting I've ever attended." He said Obama had "passion" and a "laser-like focus." He also said Obama had helped create 3.7 million jobs.

"That's really a tribute to the president," Malloy said. "What we see is America on its way back."

...

But his true "blue" loyalty and rising poll numbers are likely to make him a valuable, and enthusiastic, White House ally. He has gotten his share of national press, with his defense of the Obama administration on MSNBC during the contraceptive controversy earning him a White House thank you.

Malloy and Obama now share something in common, delusion.

Malloy is Obama 2. I live in CT and he is delusional. He won the Governor’s office by the slimmest of margins due to vote fraud in Bridgeport and quickly joined his liberal bretheren in Hartford where his first course of action was to raise every producers taxes, raise year over year spending and call that a spending cut and sold out to the unions. Malloy’s first year budget is so far out of balance that he has to follow the Obama agenda, he’s going to be in Washington begging for his CT bailout. These people live in such a liberal state they have no concept of finance or what it takes to run anything. So we here in CT will be waiting for another round of his tax increases. I guess the multi millions of savings he inserted in the budget due to a “suggestion box” of people’s ideas to save money just didn’t pan out. Massive failure, he’s in great company with Obama since he’s producing the same results. His slogan “Connecticut is open for business” just didn’t sway enough businesses to come here due to his tax raises on energy, businesses, individuals, and just about everything that moves. Gov. Malloy, slogans don’t get it done, real action does, but he continues to campaign just like Obama, we need people who actually like to do some work and stand up for those who actually produce, not those who continue to take from the system. But hey, you need votes, not results.

I feel the pain and anger about Molloy. Hope the adult voters in CT can all come out and get rid of him next time around and then do the same for Blumenthal. What disasters!!

Incidentally, you should get your computer looked at. It seems to be sending your FR posts three times.

Keep the faith. The cavalry is coming....even to CT
