Jesse Jackson Jr. faces no small challenges in his re-election run in the Congressional 2nd District.
According to a Jackson surrogate, speaking at a news conference Monday, Satan is behind the opposition.
Between 40 and 60 ministers on Monday joined Jackson to endorse his re-election campaign. They're prepared for a fight, and Pastor Willie James Campbell even denounced the "satanic forces" that want to defeat their man.
Satanic forces could be aligned against the congressman in some ethereal space, but here on earth Jackson Jr. has real problems.
On one hand, opponent Debbie Halvorson has given Jackson some of the toughest competition he's seen so far.
On the other, an anti-incumbent, Texas-based Super Pac apparently also wants to take out the congressman.
He thinks the Super PAC is trying to buy a House seat," Halvorson said last week. "I think the question is did he try to buy a Senate seat?
So, how does Jackson plan to battle the forces of evil, and more earthly opposition to his campaign?
Jackson is tying himself closely with President Barack Obama.
At a time when Democrats are running from Obama support, Jackson is fully embracing it. Last week, a billboard popped up in Chicago featuring Jackson with Obama and a message reading, "Jackson for Congress: Together, fighting for you."

Let me get this straight: Jesse Jackson Jr is behind the opposition’s campaign?
Is a surrogate like a member of his posse?
Cue the Kid
Since, IMO, you pretty much have to have sold your soul to the Devil to be a Democrat today given the party's vicious defense of the "right" to murder innocent babies, and Junior's name recognition coming solely from a race huckster and extortionist, I tend to question the integrity and understanding of any "ministers" endorsing him, let alone that their patron saint is working against his contributions toward the suicide of this nation.
Other than Obama, I can't think of many today more likely to have Satan's blessings than the namesake of the "Reverend" Jesse Jackson.
Dovetails nicely with htis item though...

Magazine Survey:
Two magazines, did a survey on 'What Do People Fear Most?' The results were interesting, to say the least.
The top three answers for Country Living Magazine's readership (99.99% white) were:
1. Nuclear war/terrorist attack in U.S.
2. Child/spouse dying of terminal illness.
3. Self dying of terminal illness.
The top three answers for EBONY/Jet Magazine's readership (99.99% black) were:
1. Ghosts.
2. Dogs.
3. Registered mail.
Would we be happier if Obama were an agnostic or atheist?
Can’t blame Blacks on Registered Mail. Have gotten a few myself in recent years. One was an $80,000 tax bill that I spent the next 18 months getting corrected.
Well it worked for Harold Ford Sr in the TN 9th district in the early 90’s. He called the whites in his gerrymandered district “those white devils in east Memphis”. Whatever works to fire up your base or your tribe
Are those the only two choices?
One thing you have to say about blacks is that they stick together.
They would vote for Rodney King if he ran for office.
They are one issue voters and that issue is, “What’s in it for me.”
A memory!
Wow, JJ Jr. has Satan to worry about...Maxine Waters is faced with “demons” from the GOP.
That CBC sure has some evil enemies, doesn’t it?
