The Governor, the Senate President and the House speaker appoint members to a committee, the Presidential Preference Primary Committee. It went down like this:

Senate President Mike Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, named Sen. John Thrasher of St. Augustine and Sen. Rene Garcia of Hialeah, both Republicans, and Democratic Sen. Gary Siplin of Orlando.

House Speaker Dean Cannon, R-Winter Park, chose two Republicans, Reps. Carlos Lopez-Cantera of Miami, and Seth McKeel of Lakeland and Democrat Cynthia Stafford of Miami.

Gov. Rick Scott named former Gov. Bob Martinez and his deputy chief of staff Jenn Ungru, both Republicans, and former Democratic state Sen. Al Lawson.

In other words the RNC did not break its own rules and the State GOP did not break the RNC rules, it was a state bi-partisan Committee that set the date. One last question is it state law as it is here in NM that Florida is a winner take all state.

I for one do not want a political party infringing on state’s rights we get enough of that from the Feds.

Lots of dicussion about this subject on TV, but no one is discussing that Santorum in an interview yesterday morning (day before ?) said that everyone understood before the primary that the delegates would be awarded proportionally.

The interview was on after the Fox & Friends program. Sorry, can’t think of the blondes name.
