They may revoke Obama’s Nobel

Will an investigation of the Nobel Peace Prize committee lead to a revocation of President Obamas Nobel Peace Prize of 2009? That is a good question as a formal inquiry has begun into the way the committee chooses its winners. The board of inquiry does have the authority to revoke Obamas award, although that is unlikely, the Associated Press reported.
The Peace Prize is awarded by a group in Norway. Swedish committees decide the other prizes. The Norwegians have drifted from the original intent of the Peace Prize.
Fredrik Heffermehl, a prominent researcher and critic of the selection process, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Nobel called it a prize for the champions of peace. And its indisputable that he had in mind the peace movement, i.e. the active development of international law and institutions, a new global order where nations safely can drop national armaments.

The only reason he received it was because he was so darn cool. He didn’t actually have any accomplishments deserving of it.

Gee, even the Leftwing lunatics on the Nobel nominating committee are realizing what a foolish mistake they made in giving the prize to Obama. They shouldn't revoke it. Let it remain outstanding to show what a complete joke this prize has become. Going forward, anyone with any integrity should refuse the thing as a highly politicized piece of garbage.

Yeah, holding up the “peace” prize and bragging “I killed bin Laden!” is a bit of an incongruity.

They should have given Obama one of these:
It's what the Nobel has been reduced to.

As long as there are Hitlers and Wahabists, no nations can safely drop national armaments.

Why revoke it? Just double down and get one ready for Ahmadinejad. Or present one to the leaders of the Arab Spring. Just slip it to them between the bars.

Drinking all that coolaid made them do something amazingly stupid. It also left a serious hangover. Now that they’ve sobered up and recovered, maybe they would like to do the right thing. They better, because the prize has zero credibility now.

Exactly. Nobody gives a damn if they revoke it or not. As soon as they awarded it to Obama, Nobel became meaningless forever more.

Why repeal it. His sole qualification for it was a lifetime of not being George W. Bush. The Nobel committee gave it strictly as an insult to Bush, not for anything Obama had done or even proposed.

Ha, great point. Maybe they were just trying to reaffirm what they had already stated.

I’ve never even thought that he was all that “cool.”
This meaningless award will not be revoked....but one DOES wonder about how it would affect the overwhelmingly narcissistic personality that is Obama...
