NR is really hopped up about the Gingrich robocalls.

Apparently, since Mass. was going broke under Romney, they had budget problems. To save money, the Medicare folks said it would be better to shut down Kosher kitchens, and instead order Kosher meals from outside sources. The seniors still get Kosher, just not from a local kitchen.

THe legislature passed a law funding the full kitchens, and Romney vetoed it because they had no money. THe legislature overrode his veto, and the kitchens remained. So in the end, nothing happened.

Some are upset that Gingrich has a robocall that says “Holocaust survivors, who for the first time, were forced to eat non-kosher, because Romney thought $5 was too much to pay for our grandparents to eat kosher.”

It’s got several good hot-buttons — Holocaust victims, Grandparents, “$5 meals”. On the other hand, it’s not true, and it’s another attack from the left.

Hopefully, just a campaign tactic, and if Gingrich is President, he won’t fail to veto legislation because it cuts expensive public programs in favor of cheaper private alternatives.

The Gallup poll nationally shows it’s between Newt and Mitt. Too bad Rick just doesn’t see the writing on the wall.

You mean the same Gallup poll that shows Newt getting his posterior handed to him by 0?

Unless you have a picture of Santorum sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi, I don’t think you should talk.

I would prefer Newt drop out and endorse Santorum. Newt has less of a chance of being elected president.

Rick you sold out your credibility when you backed Spector.... NOT even your own state would elect you. But carry on I expect no less.

The only reason he did well in Iowa was because he campaigned in all 99 counties and put everything he had into that state. He can’t do that in any other state and he’s just going to keep siphoning 10-15% of the vote away from Newt. Then you wonder why we can never get a conservative nominee and forget the electibility argument. The head to head polls with Obama mean nothing right now. Look how the polls change in a week and they’re trying to tell us they know who can win in November. Give me a break!

At this point, that’s the only conclusion I can come to.

Good. Santorum can fight with the Paulies then, and I hope they destroy him.

CORRECTION!

5. A bogus candidate with no chance to peal off conservative voters from Newt, the only man with a chance.

The same people that told me Newt can’t beat Obama are the same people who told me Mitt would win SC and wrap it up.

I was watching fox n foes this morning. First they had Gingrich on, during the interview, he was asked twice what he thought Santorum should do, both times he responded with Rick will have to do what Rick has to do, then elaborated, but neither time did he call for him to step down. Then right before Santorum came on, their lead in was that Gingrich had called fr him to drop out, they said not once, but twice. They flat out lied.

Ricky "SOPA" Santorum is a collectivist big government statist:
"This whole idea of personal autonomy, well I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. You know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone." [source]

"What was my vision? I came to the uncomfortable realization that conservatives were not only reluctant to spend government dollars on the poor, they hadn’t even thought much about what might work better. I often describe my conservative colleagues during this time as simply ‘cheap liberals.’ My own economically modest personal background and my faith had taught me to care for those who are less fortunate, but I too had not yet given much thought to the proper role of government in this mission." –Rick Santorum, p. IX It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good (2005)

"I suspect some will dismiss my ideas as just an extended version of ‘compassionate conservatism.’ Some will reject what I have said as a kind of ‘Big Government Conservatism.’ Some will say that what I’ve tried to argue isn’t conservatism at all. But I believe what I’ve been presenting is the genuine conservatism our Founders envisioned. One that fosters the opportunity for all Americans to live as we are called to live, in selfless families that contribute to the general welfare, the common good." –Rick Santorum, p. 421 It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good (2005)

"If you're a conservative, there really is only one place to go right now. I would even argue farther than that. If you're a Republican, if you're a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now and that's Mitt Romney." –Rick Santorum, 02/1/2008 [source]

Put the bong down retired greyhound, and take a deep breath. Now go back to enjoying life, and forget political anaylsis. You could not possibly be more wrong. I too am a retired grandpa. Seen this more times than I can count. Rick Santorum, that dog can’t hunt. He needs to go home and take care of that baby girl. Nothing else to say.

But you are sure that when those same people tell you Rick can't win, it is gospel?

Rush’s scenario:

Santorum+Newt=more votes than Mittens but Newt is still short.
If so, THANKS ALOT RICK! YOU MAKE ME SICK.
