Actually, FL is in both the Eastern and the Central time zones. I may be mistaken but the polls should all be closed @ 8:00PM EST/7:00PM CST.

Most precincts — 94 percent, actually — close at 7 p.m. eastern time while a handful of polling places in the state’s Panhandle region close at 8 p.m.

Put in my vote for Newt this morning at 8 AM.

You are correct Afterguard, FL is mostly EST but partially in CST. The majority of the state polls close at 7 PM EST / 6 PM CST, but the other half dozen panhandle counties close at 8 PM EST / 7 PM CST.

Ohhhh yeah, the old trick where the polls close in the more populous eastern part of the state, and then the state-controlled dinomedia reports the “projected” results, and it skews the vote in the west, where the polls are still open for another hour.

My thanks - 1 AM my time for polls to close, and about two hours for results to come in.

It is going to be a LONG night!
