Ron Paul Newsletter: Okla. City Bombing Was an Inside Job
Fox News ^ | 1-23-12

A 1995 issue of the Ron Paul Survival Report, a newspaper published by the future presidential candidate, speculates that the federal government bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

The previously unreported newsletter, part of a series which Paul began publishing early in his congressional career in the late 1970's, was part of a trove this reporter discovered when originally breaking the story for The New Republic in 2008. Full of racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic statements, not to mention a variety of quack science and conspiracy theories, the newsletters have once again become an issue as Paul seeks to stay in the Republican presidential primary for the long haul.

"We're far from knowing everything, or even many things, about the horrific bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building," the newsletter item begins.

False flag operation of the government, and the Mossad appears to have nothing to do with it for once.

And that's the American government Ron is alluding to, not the Iraqis

Another reason not to support him.

Same conspiracy, different tragedy.

I dunno, might be fun hanging that around Bill Clinton’s neck just to watch the liberals go apoplectic.

Agree. If you include Eric Holder’s involvement, one could make an interesting argument.

I’d like to hear only from those who have read Jayna Davis’ outstanding book on OKC.

If you haven’t read it, and you’re using this to condemn Paul, then you’re just a dishonest political opportunist.

Not being a paulistinian, of course I'm an ignorant, dishonest political opportunist. And while I'm not really that interested in doing the Alex Jones thing on FR, I don't remember much in the Davis book, (can you believe it a Zionist neocon freeper reads!) about the American government, that's us here in America, being responsible for the bombing. Don't come back with Ron Paul/Alex Jones crap about Iraqi agents the FBI didn't follow up on. While quite possible, you missed that, that's quite different than our government blowing up the Murrah Federal Building.

BTW, if Ron Paul, publisher of racist newsletters, knows about this, don't you think as a CONGRESSMAN, he has just a little bit of responsibility to speak out.

THank you. Many in Oklahoma are not sold that it wasn’t an inside job and/or a true act of terrorism allowed to occur which was not acknowledged.

That’s a valid point. But when one believes credible evidence that the government knew and covered up, it raises suspicion that there was a reason to cover up. The “inside job” is a plausible reason.

There is some evidence that the govt knew and let it happen. Maybe thats why they pushed the Bush LIHOP meme so hard.

I think it’s possible the government supressed an Iraqi connection, they appear to have supressed the investigation, which isn’t proof it existed, and which is quite different than Paul’s speculation that the government was responsible for the bombing. I should point out that this is from a 1995 newsletter written a few months after the bombing, three years before Jayna Davis’ book, which made no allegations of a government attack. If Ron actually had reason to suspect government involvement within months, one must wonder how he knew? My opinion is he’s a conspiracy nut, the alternatives are much darker.

More accurately, perhaps not a conspiracy nut, but one profiting from conspiracy nuts. I don’t think the Iraqi connection is proven, but I can imagine a rationale for the government to pass on that. Like the tear gas at Waco. As to letting it happen, I see no upside at all.

I was watching the aftermath of the “bombing” on raw satellite live feed that morning. The reporter just off camera but with mic on was told that everyone was rushed out, made to leave the building, all the rescuers, in the middle of rescue efforts of trapped victims, because unexploded ordinance was found on some of the remaining main support columns inside the building and it looked like military explosives. This was never reported in the media. We were all lead to believe it was a truck bomb outside on the street that did all the damage.

I to this day believe it was an inside job, Clinton needed this as an excuse to force the passage of his DOA Crime Bill and blame the vast Right Wing conspiracy for it, a twofer.

I am not sold on the ‘inside job’ viewpoint. However. I do believe that the urgency to try and execute McFae? and the hurried effort to memorialize the area including taking down any further evidence leaves a fishy/suspicious remainder in my mind.

I read about that, and Gen. Partin's analysis of the support structure blast damage indicated the unlikelyhood of the damage being caused by only a truck bomb.

here is a simple charge setup to destroy a reinforced concrete column (a SEAL I know told me it was pretty simple to rig, even in air). The charges involved are attached to the column, without providing further detail.

At the very least, Clinton capitalized on the bombing, turning it around to make all gun owners look like they were the bad guys, shutting down the effort to repeal the AWB, and claims that it 'was done in retribution for Waco' not only muzzled many over Waco, but seemed to take the steam out of the already scheduled Congressional hearings as well.

Losers: gunowners, conservatives, people who objected to the Waco holocaust.

Winners: The Clinton Administration, anti-gunners, the FBI and the ATF.

If there wasn't some sort of conspiracy, there was plenty of reason to suspect one.

The only other crime scene I can think of so rapidly bulldozed was at Waco.

Really? Well if alterPaul is sooooo honest and trust worthy and he knew about the connection - why the hell didn’t he do anything about it. Wait, never mind all he does is write conspiracy letters of racism, anti-Semitism and blame America first for everything, flap his gums and gets rabid supports to report what his flapping gums have said and spew his news letters.
I am growing so weary of alterPaul and his supporters.

There is a new documentary titled “A Noble Lie: Oklahoma City 1995” that details a lot of problems with the official story using eye witness testimony and documented evidence.
