I think the American people have a winner here with Newt, and I’ll tell you why.

If you were to ask Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Amadinejad, Kim Jong Un, Barak Obama, or any other enemy of the American people who they were most afraid of, who do you think it would be? Would it be Newt Ginrich, Mitt Romney, or Rick Santorum? Hands down, it would be Newt Ginrich.

Notice I didn’t mention Ron Paul. Hell, he scares me.

I think her endorsement of Newt was a huge help(So was the endorsement of Todd’s) but Newt has been kicking ass in these debates, I think that is what eventually put him over the top. Is Newt perfect, absolutely NOT, none of them are, but I want a fighter, I already had to hold my nose in 2008 and vote for a guy who said we shouldn’t fear an Obama presidency..so when I see Newt fighting out there makes me happy to support him. He can beat Obama, and make mince beat out of him

Are they basing this on Exit Polls? I remember when Pat Buchanan was running against Bob Dole in 1996, the news media called the election for Buchanan based on exit polls in SC, but the actual vote count went to Dole. Seems there may have been some chicanery in various precincts to skewer the vote for Dole, even though the exit polls showed that Pat Buchanan had clearly won. I’m worried this could happen again. Depending on just how bad the establishment still wants Romney.

Ed Rollins on FNC foretelling the GOP establishment will be coming after Newt now in spades.

So, Newt better turn his artillery toward Rove and the rest of the elites as he did the media the last 10 days--and neutralized very effectively-- for the win here. Perhaps highlight their complicity in getting us in the mess we're in now for starters. Pretty sure he already way ahead on this...oh, there's Rove game-planning Romney's attacks already...wants Romney to dredge up Newt's comments on Paul Ryan's plan, which he walked back later.

Thank goodness! We can now hope and pray that Romney and Paul drop out soon. I would like to see Santorum hold on, especially after his win in Iowa where he wisely spent enough time for the people to get to know him. Let all of America know him better.

A great ticket would be Gingerich and Santorum as VP. Though I think that would be unusual. I don't recall any presidential candidate adding the second place guy to his ticket. Maybe I am wrong? Anyone here help me on this?

Many of them would be Democrats trying to push Romney over the top.

But, yes to your question anyway.

There was a very effective commercial Ron Paul has been running her for two weeks of Romney's comments in Mass. regarding abortion and those over 16 “who don't have a parent's permission can go to a judge to get permission” and he won't change that.

I think this really got to some people. It ran constantly on the radio.

Give him a chance. You didn’t know all that we had in Reagan in 1980 either.

Thank you South Carolina voters. A huge win!! Newt's ground game was light vs Mitt's though Newt's own strength was himself.

Newt, keep on message. Keep positive and keep telling the voters we must keep this going.

Look for the Rove's operatives to hurt you along the way.
Everyone tighten up. The ride has just begun.
