I DID READ WHAT HE WROTE IN MULTIPLE BOOKS, and I don't give a crap what he says in a primary campaign. Here is the difference between you and me: I don't believe what he says BECAUSE HE IS A PROVEN SERIAL LIAR, and if you don't think it takes a serious degree of dishonesty to carry on a lengthy adultery I've got news for you.
Ask a leftist if they believe in America and they will tell you they will. The question is: In which vision of America do they believe? At that point, you have to look at his WHOLE record and what it says isn't good from a regulatory environmental perspective.
Personally, think your political filter needs cleaning.
I'm not filtering, you are. You are choosing to disregard WHAT HE WROTE IN MULTIPLE BOOKS.
Not everyone liked or approved of Winston Churchill either; or Margaret Thatcher; or Ronald Reagan. . .
This is such an inaccurate analogy as to be dishonest. So congratulations, you're a perfect fit for Newt.
Better to explain 'why' you think this is dishonest (???). . .
As for Newt; if you cannot vote for someone, because they were 'imperfect' per their marriage - then just say so. I believe 'vows' do mean things; and if the marriage becomes something that is antithetical to those vows and the two people who made them; then there well may be 'no real marriage' to violate. Bigger point; is no can judge a marriage; unless it is your own; and beyond that; see no reason to go there. Newt has matured; found a more meaningful Faith (oh; probably lying here too; so scratch that; as I am sure you will . .)
Newt certainly 'not perfect'; but if you can name a candidate who is; or an esteemed Leader - from anywhere; beyond the Pope - perhaps(?). . .Mother Theresa or the Dali Lama (?) - then please do.
Meantime; to name just a few books by Newt; if he an inveterate liar; then these books would have to so 'laced'. But; of course; in truth; they are not written by a liar; as you would have to otherwise conclude by your premises.
Perhaps, instead of getting totally hung up per your 'anti-Newt' you should try reading more of him or as an author yourself; just try to appreciate his prolific literary contributions. Most people cannot help but be impressed. . .
(No hint of a communist in this woodpile of books; and to name just a few):
These are Times that Try Men's Souls: A Novel of George Washington and the Fight for American Freedom
A Nation Like No Other: Why American Exceptionalism Matters (6/12/2011)
To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine (5/16/2010) by Newt Gingrich
And then there is "Valley Forge"; Gettysburg with co-Author and so many more; that speak to the history - and soul and future - of our Country.
