Today at the Skeet/Trap range in Albuquerque, NM I met recent transplants form Illinois and California. When they asked what it took to buy a handgun in NM I told them “a driver’s license and money”. The asked about waiting periods and purchase limits.
They both about fell on the ground when I told them I’d purchased 5 handguns in one afternoon.
“How did you do that?”
I had money and a driver’s license.
Reminds me of when I was in Tucson, AZ
I walked into a gun store and said “I moved here from NY and I’m not sure what the laws are in this state- what do I have to do to buy this gun?”
And he said “give me $450”.
Why is this news?
I still have to get permission from the wife...
I've bought from them. My local dealer uses the site for his 'online store'.
I’ve taken several liberal friends shooting. One even ended up buying a pistol and joining the NRA!
I figure it does more good than hours of debate.
Pretty much anyone can pretty quickly figure out that a ‘gun’ is an inanimate object, a mere tool.
In short, take a lib shooting; it’s WAY more fun, far more effective and of much greater value than thousands of lines of bitching here.
Just bought a pistol for my wife throught Gallery of Guns this morning, here in California.
Had to order it online, and pay a deposit. When the pistol gets to my local dealer (hopefully by Wed.) I will be able to start my 10 day wait.
I remember my old man getting shotguns delivered to our doorstep C.O.D. when I was a kid.... (for all you young ones out there COD stands for cash on delivery)
Yep he didn’t even pay for them till they got to his doorstep... times sure have changed here in Kalifornia.
The libs will probably have a field day with this story,
claiming that it shows how a person can buy a gun on-line.
It is important to explain that this person DID NOT buy a gun on line.
This person simply SELECTED a gun from an on line catalog
and had it reserved or delivered to a licensed FFL dealer.
This person then went to the dealer and filled out the necessary paperwork to purchase the gun.
This shot was taken over a year ago:
A couple of those full house custom 1911s went for over $6k.
did you see this thread??
So, whats the point?
