WHY ? , you say...
between yer handle and tag lines, i would think you would actually have a measure of principles that you would stand *for*...
I'll be voting alright, but there aiint a human thatll be printed on the ballot that i can vote *for*, and that same ballot wont have a 'no' box for bambam, so i guess Ill be writin in an actual 'representative' of my beliefs and principles...
save yer breath with that being a vote *for* bambam...i dont fear that, or him enough to compromise with fatally flawed guys just because the stamp an 'R' next to their names...
if you believe in the DOI and doing *something* to combat evil, then you shouldnt fear standing [and if necessary dying] on a hill of principles, and you should refuse to vote *for* the lesser of evil...

RE :”
BTW, you should prolly rethink yer handle, or at least describe what declaration you are actually *for*,/i.” How about this?
Current : “ (All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Burke) “
More accurate :” (All that is necessary to triumph OVER evil is that well intended men side with the assumed lesser of two or three evils.)“

i believe that would be called *compromise*...a system which ALWAYS works to our disadvantage on an unleveled battlefield we currently call politics...

Alternatively the ‘taking a stand’ and then ‘caving in’ approach (first used by Newt in 1995) doesn't seem to help Republicans much against Obama either. When Pelosi did it in 2007 and 2008 she had a method of being able to have Bush get the blame for everything so she could pick up more House seats, but when the current House Republicans do it it just seems to make obama look stronger, at least recently.

well, if you cant make sense of that post, obviously you dont have the mental capacity to make an informed decision of who to vote *for*, much less the ability to understand the DOI...no wonder you throw it under the bus so quickly...
same with yer tag...the inability to understand the hypocrisy of you statements is truly amazing, or engineered to be a PITA distraction...either way, you should prepare to kiss the kings ring...

RE :"
Choice-Newt or Romney."
Thats like saying :"Choice-Romney or Obama" if Romney wins the nomination. I don't find that argument very inspiring either.

I have already decided not to vote for Romney if he is considered the nominee after winning 2 primaries.
This is a disgrace.

It's called the Republican party.
What the hell are Boehner and McConnell still doing in those top leadership positions? That is a similar disgrace

RE :”
Maybe now he has seen the new data and has been convinced. He appeared in the ad's, thinking the problem was a real one, to say that even though they agreed there was a problem, they disagreed on how to deal with it. Newt wanted to take a free market approach to it”
Free market??? You have quite a bit of faith in Newt as a free market guy. Not like this other cynical freeper:
“ They aren't gaffes, He (Newt) is just not as smart as he thinks he is. He is a big government Republican who believes that being conservative means getting the government to do the job more effectively. “

Yes, that is exactly what Newt is, no one is denying that.
He was attempting to use the Gov't with the market to deal with the problem, unlike the Democrats who only want to use the Government.
So, again, the question is Newt or Romney?

RE :”

As Gilb says many times, the fix is in for Romney. But in the process of fighting with him Newt is loading up Obama and democrats with as much leftist support ammunition as possible.
Example : Heard on CSPAN this morning that Obama is reviving his call for higher taxes on those ‘rich’ investors based on private equity firms obscene profits. Way to go Newt!
I am sure Democrats will work Newts recent quotes into their efforts to reverse the Citizen's United SCOTUS ruling, you know those third party ads, and for lots more government regulations to take on those greedy vulture investors.
I suppose in the end if Romney gets it and Newt helps Obama defeat him it's just as well anyway and in Obama's second term voters will really hate Democrats, but that doesn't make me want Newt as POTUS.

bama's second term voters will really hate Democrats, but that doesn't make me want Newt as POTUS. only *IF* sol...as you often say, with bambam as POTUS and an 'R' congress for phase II of the dicktatership, we will quickly circle the drain, with public opinion absolutely convinced that 'R' obstructionism brought us to tyranny...
undoing that will take another 3-5 generations, if at all...
but even as pessimistic as i am, i will not be cowed to vote *for* a less than 50% representative, through FEAR tactics, who will ultimately sell my kids down the river anyways...
again, FEAR is a very powerful weapon, and both parties have been using it for decades...im NOT playin that game again...
is that understandable enuff ???

At this point Santorum is only in the race so that he can get several cable news 'contributor' gigs on cable tv
Much the same way Herman Cain had from the beginning
We've just cast our early ballots for Newt here in Florida

Newt didn't start with the attacks, he was the one who wanted to stay positive.
Obama is always calling for higher taxes on the rich.
If the 'fix is in' and Romney is the handpicked candidate of the establishment, then count me out, Romney is unacceptable unless he truely wins the primary process, not two States.
