While I agree that Romney isn't the ideal candidate, he is far better than Dole or McCain or some of the other squishes that have been offered up over the years. He has a better chance of winning than Dole, McCain, or even Bush I did (vs. Clinton). My personal choice was Cain, but he is now out for good, so, if Romney gets the nomination, then that is who I'll vote for. I will not allow Barack Obama to have another 4 years to destroy this country - period.

FR used to be a site about political activism. More Freepers need to step away from their keyboards, put down their screens, and start working to elect conservatives to state and local offices. Hook up with your local Tea Party. Doesn’t matter who wins the presidential race, we are going to need conservatives in Congress to lead the way. And while you’re at it, stop in en masse at local government meetings. You can actually stop them from spending your money. I know—I saw it. We are all acting like passive victims of abuse. As Obama said, time to take off the bedroom slippers......

If you vote for a liberal with an (R) next to their name, you're still voting for a liberal, and they will take us down the road to socialism just as surely as a liberal with a (D) next to their name.

It's time to stop throwing our votes away on liberals with (R) next to their name. Every time we do that, we are telling the GOP that it's okay for them to move even farther to the left.
