GOP New Hampshire primary debate tonight on ABC at 9pm ET

Tonight will mark the first of two debates this weekend focused on the New Hampshire Republican primary. This evening's debate will take place at Saint Anselm College and is sponsored by ABC News, Yahoo! and WMUR. Sunday morning will feature a GOP debate broadcast on NBC at 9am ET (yes, am) but look for more details on that later today.
Air Time: Saturday, January 7th at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on ABC

Just talking about Newt with hubby- I told him that a lot of people have problems with him because of his past problems (adultery) and he said well David (in the Bible) had problems with adultery and God used him!

Newt by far is the intelligent and eloquent of the bunch. This country needs him to serve in some manner if he does not win.
Yes, Newt is great in the debate and has a great grasp of the facts. I loved how he turned the gay marriage/adoption debate back around on the ABC folks.
And smarmy ABC is trying to keep the candidates from telling the truth about Obama. Got to be killing the moderators.
I wish Newt would bring up the bill Obama just signed that gives him the “right” to detain American citizens without cause.

Yeah, Perry on Iraq, a remark stuck inside 60 seconds was probably a sinker. No time to expand or dig out.
This is key to all the debates.Just like zero is always the weakest link in any room we have a chance for a President who will be the smartest in any room !!Newt Gingrich. Such a shame so few get it.
Are you on the Newt ping list? You are right about Gingrich being the ONLY statesman up there. Both Santorum and Romney agreed with Newt on different issues. Newt took a question right out of the hands of the moderators and nailed it to a huge applause. He is right on Pakistan, Iran, iraq, Eygpt...he knows how to deal with them as commander in chief. Do I want a mormon as CnC? hell NO...that is the main responsibility of our president. Do I want a wacko like Paul? NO....Newt is the MAN

I’ve been on all the debate threads and it’s always this way.
The guy we go in liking always does the best in our way of thinking.
And, we always hate the press and their snotty questions.
I honestly think that’s how Newt got his original edge, taking it to the press. This may help him get it back, but we’ll see.
I get the impression Santorum is not very impressive tonight, but I’m not watching. I am taping it.
I’d love for Perry to explain how he’s going to Iraqis or Americans to support going back into Iraq. It’s total BS.
