I think we overrate far too much this type of stuff. Whether we like it or not, most Northeastern Republicans have to do some of this or they can’t be elected. “Rockefeller Republicans” do exist in large numbers in the Northeast and we have to remember we can’t just ignore them if we want to win national elections. No one is pure with their votes, particularly in the Senate. I think he has a good head on his shoulders and will vote conservative most of the time, but not all of the people he represents will agree with our core conservative principles. Sometimes we need to move the ball incrementally, not just throw the long pass.
We've done nothing but move the ball backwards for the last 80 years...when was the last year the federal government spent less than the year before (other than after WWII)? We are staring the Medicare/Social Security entitlement black hole in the face...being satisfied with smaller moves backwards won't do anymore...We need a standard bearer who is unequivocally committed to cutting spending
