Not a Ron Paul supporter...but I know I’d be a bit touchy if my candidate (if I had one) was off handedly dismissed as a nut w/o explanation.
I think conservatives should hold themselves to a higher standard than liberals. Simply stating “Ron Paul is a nutter” without any evidence to support that statement is no more valid than yelling “Bush lied, people died” when discussing the war
Really? Is this your first Ron Paul thread, people explain all the time, yet the supporters dismiss the evidence.
Without explanation? Just click the Ron Paul keywords here and you'll see hundreds of explanations. From Ron Paul claiming that Israel created Hamas and is secretly behind Islamic terrorism, to his saying the border fence is secretly meant to 'keep Americans in', to saying that your money contains secret tracking devices, to praising David Duke, to saying that there is no fundamental right to life in the Constitution (that it is a State thing), to calling Reagan a 'failure..','..who makes Carter look Conservative', to saying that Iran has every right to block international shipping lanes and if they do, it is our fault, to saying the Mossad may be behind the 93 WTC bombing, etc....
A book could be written on the explanations given.
How about the fact that he thinks Bradley Manning is a patriot? Does that make him a nut? How about the fact that he blames 9/11 on the US and not bin Laden? Does that make him a nut?

I don’t think that’s fair, we all saw him in the debates, saying that it’s our fault we were attacked 9/11, that we have no interest in defending Israel, that street drugs should be legalized, that we’ve murdered millions in Iraq, etc.
It is nothing but nutty.
“Without explanation”? “Without any evidence”? Not to be rude, but where exactly have you been? Article after article, link after link, post after post has provided mountains of evidence over the years here and certainly a lot more highly concentrated amounts in the last few months have been provided right here on this forum alone.
Perhaps you don't spend as much time on FR as I do, but there are tons of threads posted, wherein Ron Paul's lunatic positions have been discussed in great detail.
So much so, in fact, that the community as a whole is passed the point of delineating them again at every mention of his name.
