I’m so sick of these media idiots trying to influence our election. All I heard on “Fox and Friends” this morning was how laughably hypocritical Newt Gingrich is (”he once supported Romneycare!”) (while, OF COURSE not a WORD against Romneycare itself!!!), and how Ron Paul was surging and how committed and wonderful his followers were (once they crawl out of their parents’ basements, that is).
Now they’re going to try and start a “Wow! Look! Santorum is really taking off!” movement.
Screw ALL of you talking head idiots. The only one of you I’ve heard who I agree with is Rush, who says ANY of these people would be a thousand times better than that loser in the White House now (except, perhaps, for Ron Paul).

A week ago, Rush “If Sanatorum becomes president, I don’t have to worry about his next move”. If we are going to select among candidates that we don’t like, let us atleast select the conservative candidate. People are forgetting the appeal of Rick Sanatorum with social conservatives.

Wish I had the ability to consider Santorum, but like the old Soviet Union, my Virginia GOP has pre-selected my candidates for me. If I try to write-in anyone else, they told me my vote will be discarded and not counted. How totalitarian.
Then you, and all the Virginians who feel as you do, need to vote for Ron Paul (since he and RINOrom are the only two on the ballot) and embarrass Romney, the RNC and the Republican Party of Virginia.
No bro., I’m not too harsh. If you’d have had to put up with him for 25 years like we Texans have, you’d know I was being kind. For the last 10 years we’ve not been able to get him out of office because he has a well greased political machine that keeps getting him the GOP nomination, and Texans will not vote for a DemocRAT. We recognized his first few months in the Governor’s Office..... dude is dumb. But, it was too late to do anything about it. If you want to embarrass an Aggie in Texas ask them: “Hey, didn’t Rick Perry Graduate from Texas A&M?”

But seriously, Perry has done a decent job of guiding Texas without stepping on our rights as citizens.
And what’s wrong with that?
He did his best to “step on our rights” with Gardasil and Trans-Texas Corridor land-grab. I doubt seriously Perry will be reelected next time.

First of all, Dick Morris has been very kind to Newt in his commentaries. But, then you said: Rick Santorum is a “less viable” non-Romney option?
And what do you base that on; my friend. Let a fresh, young face, with no baggage, emerge overnight and see how many people flock to him. Most folks are just sick and tired of the great disappointment pizza-dude Cain, RinoRom, Pauly-wolly, Newt “Carry my baggage” Gingrich, Michele “I’ll be the first to shoot my wounded GOP opponents” Bachmann, and the Texas Governor who is as friggin’ dumb as a can of Spam.
Let Rick Santorum rise like a sleeping giant and watch his chances improve. And, my apologies to every can of Spam everywhere.
I don’t think Santorum or Bachmann or even Perry or Huntsman is a better or worse alternative to Romney or Newt. Santorum is a big-government statist all too often, though he is a sincere and consistent social conservative.
He’s got zero executive experience or, IMO, executive mentality, as he seems congenitally unable to answer a simple debate question without steaming out grievance and victimization left and right.
That makes him in sum a not very good candidate for president, but all the others have their glaring weaknesses as well.
Oh, and he’s been their on the menu all along. It says something that he’s the last dish even his base is willing to try.
