COLUMBUS, Ohio - The White Castle hamburger chain is sipping on the idea of selling alcoholic beverages at its restaurants. The 90-year-old company is testing beer and wine sales at a location in Lafayette, Ind., that combines a traditional White Castle burger joint with a Blaze Modern BBQ, a new restaurant concept also being tried out. In other cities, Columbus, Ohio-based White Castle is testing an Asian food concept and a restaurant that serves grilled sandwiches.

Getting people drunk first might encourage them to buy those greasy sliders.
White Castle burgers were good after a night of drinking to sop up the excess.
While they are at it maybe they could figure out how to get a White Castle in Northern Virginia!
WC is usually where you go after imbibing - now both could be in one place. What a timesaver!
They should work on getting the food out the window in less than 10 minutes first.
Every time I go to one it’s 10+ minutes waiting when there is no other customers in front of me.
then 50% of the time, they screw up my order.
I still like a good gut bomb though.
For me, the sliders usually come after the beer.
And then the battle is to keep them both from coming back up.
I had my first and last White Castle hamburgers in early August 1975 in Indianapolish, IN. I decided to try it for supper the night before I shipped out for my first Army tour in Germany. I was completly unimpressed with them and haven’t had one since.
Perfect product symbiosis -- alcohol begets slider cravings, at which you can now get more alcohol. The never-ending cycle.
Who in their right mind would order wine at white castle.
My late night burger of choice was at the Waffle House, along with the shoestring fries.
they F you at the drive through, as Leo said.
I luvs me some Jalapeno cheesburger sliders.
I used to get WC frozen burgers (no restaurants near me).
But when I saw the unsanitary conditions of the floor where they pack them on “Undercover Boss” I never bought them again. Nor would I go to their restaurants since the view from the top has so little regard for cleanliness.
Colt 45 on tap? That ought to make for good ambiance. /s
People who order wine at White Castle are the type who think that if it comes in a box or has twist off tops it’s for the upper crust.
That being said if I put down a few belly bombs with a large order of their onion chips along with a few beers, dear lord you better not be downwind an hour later...
Normally the sliders come after consumption of adult beverages. Sometimes with less than desired results. Not sure if that’s the beverages fault, or the sliders.
Hmmm... Might need more research.
I was going to say, PBR and sliders? whats not to like?
Hey now.... don’t go dissin’ the ratburger palace.... but you are correct, i usually get a crave case of cheeseburgers ( make sure they put the metchup on them ) go home and crack open a 6 pack... a rootin’ tootin’ good time
Thinking I’ll have to stop in Hinkley and get me some :)
Rats with hats ... and cups!!!
wanna sniff the cap?
Dip them little burgers in your little beer. Now what’s not to like about that?? I wonder if they will sell 2 oz cans of beer by the sack.
MMMMMMMMMMMM Sliders and a nice Riesling...Heaven!

Boston burger served on "white trash bun" on butcher board----fries in brown paper bag.
It’s a mistake to ever special-order a White Castle. It’s 2 am - I stumble in and just ask for 10 whatevers and they are in the bag in about a minute. All the food is the same. :-)
Amish wedding I see.
“That Blue Nunn. She’s a mean wine.”
I get mine in the hood on Rice Street.
(The only drivethrough I’ve ever had someone walk up and offer to sell me crack- talk about one-stop shopping!)
I spent 5 years in DeKalb craving White Castles! I couldn’t believe one wouldn’t do well right off campus. I always had to drive 30 miles to satisfy my cravings for WC or Popeye’s Chicken.
That said, there was always Burritoville! And some good Chinese.
During the depression my grandfather stood in line in Chicago
and got a dollar from Al Capone. He spent it at a White Castle. He said the burgers were 7 cents each :-)

You're not just whistlin' Dixie! Unfortunately, we don't have any WC down here in my current neck of the woods. I was in Evansville, IN for a meeting a couple of years ago. After a night of adult beverages, several of us called a cab to take us through the WC drive-through. We ended up devouring two suitcases of burgers. Darn fine intoxicated eating they are. I don't know what made me feel worst the next morning: overindulging on alcohol or WC?
Probably mini sampler sizes to go with their miniburgers.
(How many White Castle Hamburgers does it take to fil up a normal American Man?)
Well, ya don't see a limo now, do ya? :-)
White Castle Blues - The Smithereens
Saturday night and it’s gettin’ late
I’m gettin’ hungry, I just can’t wait
Not just any kind of burger will do
I’m being hit by those
White Castle blues
White Castle blues
I think I’ll get some crisp onion rings
To compliment 10 of those little square things
An orange soda or a milkshake will do
I’m being hit by those
White Castle blues
White Castle blues
I was first introduced to those bastards by Duke
On a hot summer night when we went out to cruise
But memories such as Bobbo and puke
Are just part of the saga of
White Castle blues

Hey!
Oh when I worked midnights for the campus police, Harold’s satisfied many late-night cravings. Reminded me of Henderson’s Chicken in Dallas (also closed now).
I would do that for supper if one was a few states closer, and I hadn't started making chicken, roasted corn and tortilla soup from scratch.

Ah geez! Why not! White Castle's main business is catering to the late night drunk! (Been there! Done that!) Can't say I've ever eaten White Castle's sober...or, in the daylight. ;)
I don’t. I like the cheese sticks and they never seem to make them right (I don’t reject them. they just make um over and over again)
I’ve been to that one! only it was weed that was offered.
I do last mile expedited freight. Basically pickup at the air port or terminal and run it out to it’s destination. I visit a lot of white castles and other food joints.
Blaine (65 and 10) is closest to home. They are extremely slow.
