I am not sure of the distinction between Socialist and Communist but Obama is the one which is worse.

Communism is simply one way of implementing socialism. In communism the means of production is owned by the state. In national socialism, the means of production remains in the hands of the public but the government controls the output and determines who benefits from the profits. - see General Motors for example

I believe your definition of socialism is actually fascism.

Socialism is “spreading the wealth around” and being your neighbors keeper whether you want to or not. “Free” stuff provided to people who didn’t earn it and taken by force of law from those who did is socialism. The individual is sacrificed for the “greater good of society”.
