When I was a kid I drove Ron Paul around from stop to stop. He was saying the same kind of stuff back then. As most people know he is more a Libertarian than anything else.

Overall, I'd say he should be the benchmark for how members of Congress think. Follow the Constitution.

But, he is someone that really never has been able to compromise. That is good if you are a king but not so good as a president.

His rabid supporters still mystify me. Maybe it is the drug thing. The stoners support him. LOL!

Paul is too old and too set in his ways. He would not be good for the country.

“But, he is someone that really never has been able to compromise.”

Men of principle don’t compromise their principle. Congress persons honoring their oath, do not compromise their oath.

I think Ron Paul is stubborn that way. He refuses to compromise. Though, he did once. He voted to authorize then President Bush to go get Bin Laden, right after 911. No congressional declaration of war, as required by the Constitution. Something he would normally insist.

Course then, he got screwed. The story goes, when a team had Osama in their sights, in Afghanistan, they were called off. That’s when Paul realized he had been screwed. I think he has been po’d ever since.
