I agree. I don't have cable, and I don't feel like putting up with a shaky internet video feed, so I only followed the debate via this thread.
What I saw was the most juvenile form of cheerleader-ism and vulgar put-downs, and not much coherent analysis.
Hey FReepers who love one candidate or another: putting your cheers in bold, big font, repeated, or with multiple exclamation marks says nothing. On the other hand, comparing what a candidate says or claims to have done with the real record is very useful - especially when done with a link to the documentation.
Just some "friendly feedback" after 13 years on this forum....
I just got through watching the debates(I delayed it) and this is my first comment on this or any thread about it....I thought all candidates were impressive and I thought the Fox people were impressive. It was a good lively debate and it made me proud to be on the conservative side of the ledger
I wasn’t able to watch the debate either but I have it taped.
So, really neither one of us know squat. That’s why I haven’t commented.
I get some impressions from the thread.
Bachmann is probably out and should realize it soon.
Huntsman has some reason for running but he should get out also.
Mitt will stick to the bitter end, but I think the bitter end is here for him.
Gingrich always is glib and fun to listen to, but when one steps back and takes a look — lots of negatives.
I’ve been for Perry all along and I see that he came in first or second in most people’s minds.
I think he has a real chance.
