You’re right. I still think Perry is in the race. I don’t think Bachman is.

But, it’s still a regular horse race for now.

LOL.

Romney is sinking fast!

Perry is on a bus tour throughout the state,
picking up Romney voters.

Where’s Santorum in this?

I think Ron Paul has a ceiling.

GO NEWT GINGRICH!

Thankfully we’re electing the leader of the debate club.

TX recession lasted a year, now it’s gone and done. Thanks Gov. Perry. Think that’s not going to resonate with the unemployed folks?

There are many problems with your math: first you are taking static assumptions from a fluid process. Second, you are starting Cain’s decline from the end, I am starting at Cain’s peak. Third, you are ignoring (probably because it hurts your thesis) Newt’s tea party support which certainly is not the same as Mitt’s support or the establishment support - and fourth you are ignoring the incredible establishment backlash against Newt.

I am sure that RP and MB got some of Cain’s support. I am also sure that Newt got some. And I think Romneys support that left, most of whom are not as ideologically dogmatic as those on FR, have spread out among almost all of the candidates because they were shallow name ID supporters anyway.

Is anyone else getting a whiff of brokered convention here?

No, because no candidate keeps the same % in polls if they do poorly early on.

They either rise or sink fast and lose money quickly.

Not necessarily. It looks to me like what you said is partly true, combined with a siphoning off of Romney's support to Bachmann, Perry, and Paul.

At any rate, I predicted that for Romney to win, he had to take first in NH, come in no worse than second in IA and SC, and that if anyone else wins IA and SC and comes in second in NH (i.e., Newt), Romney is finished. We'll see. I can't see any circumstance where anyone other than Newt comes in second in NH.

Well, according to your reading of the bones and tea leaves analysis, it’s pretty simple then. Get Perry or Bachmann to drop out and throw his/her support behind the other and you may have a contender.

I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, but my friends in Iowa have informed me that Paul is surging.

He's got a huge ground game underway.

Iowa may be on the verge of showing it's discontent with the candidates to choose from!

If the weather is bad on Jan. 3, Paul runs away with it.

If Paul doesn't come in 1st or 2nd, his campaign is done for.

Candidate I want/Newt Candidates I could “deal” with/Perry, Bachmann “No Way/No How” Candidates/Paul, Mittens, Huntsman

Me too . . . unless the only alternative is Obama. Then it's "candidates I'll drink kayopectate and vote for." But that list would also include Joan Rivers, Bruno the Dog Man, and Pee Wee Herman.

Paul’s campaign was “done for” before it ever started, the guy is completely insane and would get us all killed.

I guess you missed my “Mitt joke” on the “ten thousand dollar bet” thing.

(but I still think 28% is high. Maybe 20% - which will forever make the Iowa Caucuses irrelevant. And I’m sure Mitt is pulling for that, hoping that Iowa’s vote will be so wacky as to make it irrelevant. That’s what happened to Bachmann - Paul running so strong in the Ames straw poll really watered down her victory there.)

(big sigh) yeah. It’s bad enough he can’t friggin’ speak but then he’s gotten this rep for being soft on illegals.

Last name might as well be Bush.

Now that’s interesting on two levels:
First: yeah, what could possibly go wrong with his hated foreign policy /sarc

Second: Trust only two? Trust to do what exactly? By that, I mean this: Do you really think any of the 7 will refuse to sign legislation given them by a reasonably good congress (and if any of the GOP folks win, it will certainly be part of a big congressional year for the tea party types).

I got it, but my reply focused otherwise.

OK...I'll bite!

$10,000...is that all you've got?

I'll raise you a Ron Paul Money Bomb. LOL
