Oh how your humble correspondent has yearned for his own Marshall McLuhan moment. You might remember that scene from the movie "Annie Hall" when some pompous blowhard on a theater line pontificated about the thoughts of the author of "the medium is the message." An irritated Woody Allen then pulled out McLuhan himself to harshly rebuke the guy.
Well, now I get that opportunity with comics artist and writer Frank Miller severely criticizing the Occupy Wall Street protests. First let us look at Stephen Kelly of the UK Guardian speculating that Batman could become a hero for the OWS movement:

There’s absolutely nothing in the history of Miller’s work that would leave one to believe he’d support lazy slobs.
This article reminds me of another line from Annie Hall. When listening to Annie describe the useless college courses she was taking, Woody proclaimed, "That's not a course, that's mental masturbation." So is this article.
You should read the reactions to Miller at his website.
Then imagine that any one of those posters gains actual power, or learns how to effectively use government to advance their causes.

It is not a surprise to anybody who’s actually read Miller’s work. Miller’s Batman is NOT a Leftist. He does not go after Wall Street types, he goes after violent street criminals and beats them senseless.
Ah. Interesting. I never got into comics or the “graphic novel,” but Sin City was pretty fun to watch. Thanks.

Of course the pondscum at DUh are in shock. ANYONE who is an artist, of course, simply HAS to be an anti-American, leftist, communist Christophobe.
NO ONE can be an artist who also has anything resembling a fondness for America and Americans and anything associated with America.
Well, that’s why they are truly the ideology of the limited intellect, the lack of diversity, and that is why their “art” is really nothing more than propaganda.
Historically, he played pretty fast and loose with the facts. Otherwise, the perfect date movie ... LOTS of scantily clad beefcake for the girls, plenty of action and gore for the guys!
