Jackie Gingrich Cushman wrote a column in May of this year called “Setting the Record Straight” where she dealt with the myth of Newt Gingrich serving his wife divorce papers while she was in the hospital with terminal cancer.

BTW, I wonder how honorable it is to repeat erroneous information on the web impugning a persons character? You didn’t even get the disease right - or that the tumor was benign.
Unfortunately this false story is widespread and at one time I also believed it until I read what his daughter wrote.
