You and I may not agree on everything in regards to this vaccine, but I would be remiss if I didn’t thank you for your efforts to spread information and awareness about this horrible virus.
I’m a 20-year HPV-caused Cervical Cancer Survivor, and I’m grateful to you and others for raising awareness of this disease. There is an awful lot of ignorance out there in regards to these issues, and in some cases that can compound the pain to those who have gone through this, or even lost someone dear to them.
Thanks again for your work and advocacy in regards to HPV in general.
My wife was diagnosed with HPV when she was 23 years old, and had the cells removed by freezing the tip of her cervix. We didn’t meet until she was 26 so she didn’t get it from me. But if the guy she got it from (probably a graduate school boyfriend) would have had the shot, she wouldn’t have gotten HPV. Neither she nor the boyfriend, I’m sure, knew he had HPV. And, yes, most of us guys aren’t marrying virgins these days!!
