Sounds like the Democrat Party platform.

You can sign up to be a part of (i.e. infiltrate) this group.

How is a “progressive, graduated income tax” fair? Did I miss the new definition?

Actually, the first four don’t bother me. I’m a little impressed that they include unions in their list of groups who don’t need to be buying politicians. The other 16, no. Sorry. But I don’t hate the first four.

1. Implementing an immediate ban on all private contributions of money and gifts, to all politicians...from Unions...

Well, that takes care of it. It’ll never be ratified.

It took them until item 16 before they zeroed in on anything directly related to “Wall Street”?

Wouldn’t these guys have a more relevant venue in D.C.?

"...even if it requires a Constitutional Amendment"

LOL!! Like they're really concerned about the Constitution.

5. A complete reformation of the United States Tax Code to require ALL citizens to pay a fair share of a progressive, graduated income tax

That is gonna be a pretty hard sell to the 47% who currently pay no Federal income tax, including most of their own members. Aside from the progressive rates they are dangerously close to the Tea Party and Herman Cain on this one.

It’s really amusing that they think they are somehow 99% when it’s more like they are 0.0000000099%. Maybe less.

“10. Student loan debt relief. Our young People and students are more than $830 billion in debt from education loans alone. Payment and interest on these debts should be deferred for periods of unemployment and the principal on these loans reduced using a corporate tax surcharge.”

I ran up debt, so make someone else pay for it?

Um, no.

I love how they claim to speak for “99%” of the people. They speak for a fraction of 1%, at best.

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2011/10/19/%e2%80%98occupy%e2%80%99-to-hold-national-assembly-in-philadelphia/

More on this at the above link. They want a national convention in Philadelphia next year. I DON’T.

The after debate discussion last night talked a bit about OWS. And Ari Fleischer spoke well on this...and his concerns reflect my own. He thought the protests will wane somewhat when the weather turns colder...but warned that next summer, the groups (Especially the radical fringes attaching themselves) will reconstitute next summer..whether ows realizes it or not, they are being co-opted by radicals) And those groups don’t care about solutions, they want revolution. I am not hopeful at this point that this is going to end well.

Go ahead and spend $160,000 to get a useless degree in Latin American Studies, and then wonder why the only job you can get pays $23,000. If you can get a job. Dopes.

9. Passage of a comprehensive job and job-training act like the American Jobs Act to employ our citizens in jobs that are available with specialized training and by putting People to work now by repairing America's crumbling infrastructure. We also recommend the establishment of an online international job exchange to match employers with skilled workers or employers willing to train workers in 21st century skills.

"OK, Cassandra, Clive and you, Katelyn... you guys have, what, in order a Women's Studies major from Brown, a Music and Art History major from Rutgers, and a Masters in Comparative Studies from Georgetown.

Well, each of you, go form up that storm grate and drive apron, because we need to be able to tie that curbing into the ramping over on Dungess Ave."

(all with blank stares) "Seriously?"
