Businessman Herman Cain’s candidacy was largely dismissed when he announced that he would seek the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. But it’s becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss his candidacy following a string of Cain triumphs in the polls.

“Is Herman Cain a serious contender for the Republican presidential nomination? It’s a question no one in the pundit world was asking until the past week,” Michael Barone writes in the Washington Examiner.

I am so glad to see more and more people taking Cain more seriously as a candidate.

If that was a threat... -1.

Your threats are meaningless here.

I see no where in his official bio that he was a member of the federal reserve.

I have no idea whether Cain was part of the Federal Reserve or not, but are you seriously saying that you trust any candidate for politial office enough that if you don't see something on their official bio, you won't believe it is true even if other sources confirm it? Do you think Clinton puts "got a blowjob in the Oval Office" on his bio? Are you an idiot?

That source was not credible. I am not an idiot and don’t assume who I will be voting for as I don’t even know so you can’t. Calling me an idiot tells me you don’t wish to discuss this or have good intentions of anything but your own.

Herman Cain does not want a VAT.

I don’t use the Washington Post as a source of information on conservative candidates......look what they just did to Rick Perry.

The Federal Reserve issue is that Cain does not think we need another audit, but just to publicize their internal audit, something your nutjob blog does not acknowledge.

Your sources suck and reflect your corrupt understanding of the issues.

I have read Cain’s position on taxes. As expected you lied about his supporting a VAT.

In fact, Cain has said on numerous occasions he opposes any kind of a VAT. As a retailer CEO, a person who (unlike Perry) actually was responsible for a large retailing company employing thousands, he well understands that VATs kill business.

Cain wants a single tier tax on everyone. He proposes eliminating the income tax and instituting a national sales tax. Inherent in this plan is the elimination—or near elimination—of the IRS.

If one’s goal is to replace our present convoluted and unfair tax code with a system where everyone pays taxes, does not have to hire a CPA to fill out tax forms and transforms the IRS as we know it what is the problem with Cain’s position?

A VAT is a vastly different thing than than Cain proposes and you know it.

And that’s not what he’s calling for.

He’s calling for scrapping the entire tax code from line 1 and replacing with the 9-9-9 plan.

Your support of Rick Perry shows your lack of understanding of the issues. As expected, the conservative of the month club came out to bash anyone who does not support their position. Carry on.

Vision for Economic Growth

Vision for economic disaster. Unless you think $2 trillion deficits are a good thing.

Production drives the economy, not spending.

Production is driven by demand. Demand is driven by consumer spending. Adding a massive tax increase on the majority of consumers reduces their ability to spend on goods that business produces. That impacts their need for workers, increases unemployment, and sends the economy into the dumpster.

Business formation and job creation are dependent on entrepreneurs taking risks.

The willingness of entrepreneurs to take risks depends on someone being willing to buy their product. Reducing income on most consumers is counterproductive to that.

Unite all tax payers, don’t divide them into “income” tax payers vs. “payroll” tax payers

Instead, you divide them into those whose taxes you will cut and those whose taxes you will raise. For the large majority of taxpayers, you will be increasing their rates. That is not a wise course if you're serious about winning an election rather than sounding slick during a primary campaign.
