I've read about EMPs. I've read about Jericho. Never done Netflix (though my 88-year-old mother does!). I'm not much into watching things, but thanks for the advice.

I've read about Jericho. One of the very few network shows I have ever watched...very well done. Of course; it was too intense for the knuckle-dragging Nielsen crowd, so it got whacked.
