She has been among the top three prospective GOP candidates in polling all year, has unquestionably the strongest base in the party, has been the most successful critic of Obama over the last three years—and hasn’t yet announced.

Also, she’s the only candidate among our realistic top three who doesn’t have an embarrassing history of trying to mandate healthcare solutions on her constituency when Obamacare is the biggest club that the GOP has to wallop Obama with in 2012.

The Gop will almost certainly produce the winning candidate this year.

Bob Turner’s win yesterday in NYC added a lot to my sense of confidence.

But Sarah Palin will have very little to do with it.

She is old news, detested by Democrats and has independents extremely wary of her. She has no campaign orgainization in place. 61% national disapproval 14 months out is nothing to build a campaign on.

Best thing to do is to find somebody else to pull for.
