More voters in the heavily Democratic state of New York now disapprove of President Obama than approve of him the first time he has ever received a negative rating according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.
The 49 to 45 percent split reflects growing popular angst over the countrys economic woes and frustration with Obamas response, even in one of his electoral strongholds. In June, New Yorkers approved of the president by a 57 to 38 percent split.
Overall, New Yorkers split fairly evenly on whether Obama deserves re-election. His strongest support is concentrated in New York City and among union households, while majorities of upstate and suburban voters strongly say Obama does not deserve a second term.

Not sure if you count 1972 -
NH Nixon 62% McCloskey 20% Ashbrook 10%
MA Nixon 81% McCloskey 13% Ashbrook 4%
CA Nixon 90% Ashbrook 10%
I suppose if Bush 41 had been reelected, Buchanan might be remembered more like John Ashcroft. Although as I recall Buchanan did get into the 30’s, better than McCloskey and Ashbrook combined.
Fascinating to read the comments at the link. They hate the O because he moved way over to the Right.
Funny, I didn’t notice that.
They are waking up. O’SpendsALot is loosing that demographic (the ones usually about two years out of school and moving back in with Mommy and Daddy)
Ahh, the good old days when Reagan won the state, and I didn't have to be so embarrassed!
Another year like this and even the Blacks are going to want to send him back to Kenya.
Pray for America

“You have to remember that conservatism in the younger generation is repressed. If you are conservative on most college campuses today, you are not allowed to speak. “
I was in college back in the 1960’s. It was the same back then - a bunch of idiot atheist communist professors with a captive audience.
We need MORE parental involvement in speaking out against these bastards. After all, the students and their parents are paying THEM for a service - and its a poor one at that.
I think the REAL difference between the 1960s and now is that in the 1960s, High School and elementary school teachers were not Marxists. It was only the College bunch of educators.
TODAY, the elementary school and high school teachers are every bit as leftist, politically correct and anti-religion as the college professors, so students are exposed to this tripe that much longer.
“From what you have hears....” Where are you from? Have you ever been to New York? Not only the city but where real citizens live? I doubt you have been to either. BTW, why don’t you go to Philadelphia, Chicago or Berkeley and see how the helpful aides push to poor feeble voters into their choices. This is not just a New York problem but one of intimidation withe all street organizers, nationwide. Open your eves. It’s probably in your area as well.
