As an “Extremely Right Wing Extremist”... I question Perry on this and other issues.

Immigration is just one of his problems. I can neither confirm nor deny but some say he’s willing to allow some exceptions to his opposition to abortion. You’d have to find out for yourself. It came up in this thread last night.

Perry is the same as Obama about illegals. Both of them claim they are enforcing the laws, but all they mean is if an illegal commits a serious felony then they will be deported.

So cripplecreek, who is your candidate then. Who are you supporting that can defeat the Maxist?

I like Bachmann but if forced to vote for an establishment candidate, I could vote for Santorum without wincing too much.

A man can be judged by the company he keeps. Perry was convinced to move from the Democratic Party to Republican by establishment RINO Karl Rove.

We have to stop accepting half conservative/half liberals the way we have since Bush Sr. George W. Bush, John McCain, Rick Perry and many others are half conservative/half liberal, in other words they are in a state of ideological confusion or they are playing games with us. In either case we do not need them. The nation is going through a purge of FDR liberalism which has dominated the country for 70 years. Hallelujah, the people are starting to get it and we have to push forward to bring the country to the right of center again. For 70 years we have been pushed way over to the left side of the line and we have to make an extra effort to bring the country back to its original beliefs. We are on the offense now, so we do not have to waste or time on confused apologists for the FDR, LBJ view of government.

Is it tough being a parrot or does it come naturally?

I live 15 miles from Austin, TX. I’ve heard these attacks on Perry for years. (from both sides)

I could sit here in refute (or agree with) all these issues but, just check my in forum responses if you really want to know.

I like both of those candidates. They are great American’s, I just don’t think they can beat the Maxist. IMO.

The point is that being a veteran isn't enough and that the plus of being a veteran can be negated by other minuses such as being clueless as to what is best for the country.

“I didn't leave the democrat party... they left me”.

Ronald Reagan

Since Reagan left the democrat party in 1962... and Perry only left the democrat party in 1990... that means that Perry was a member of the democrat party AS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL STARTING IN 1985... and he served in public office as a democrat up until he switched parties in 1990... 28 years after Reagan found it so leftist and immoral that he had to divorce himself of it. That is correct... Perry embraced the democrat party long after Reagan declared it evil. HE should have listened to Ronald Reagan to begin with... so any claim comparing Perry's epiphany to Reagan's epiphany must be measured against the above facts.

Reagan is the defacto standard of Conservatism and as such... he belongs to all American Conservatives... not just you.

Reagan signed amnesty and his is the revered icon of conservatism. Bush and Perry have done and said far less but they will be tarred and feathered on this.

As others have posted to you - that was thirty years ago and represented about a million illegals. We are talking tens of millions now.

Honestly, which of the Republican candidates will be more strict than Perry?

There was Tom Tancred and Duncan Hunter but the likes of you couldn't bring yourselves to support them - they were too far right.

Isn't it kind of like Clinton—”It all depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.” Perry, Obama and Clinton are just too tricky for my taste. Dishonest politicians always play with words, they will say, for instance that they are going to “secure the border” or stop illegal immigration but they have totally different meanings in their minds that what they know people will understand it to mean. In other words, they are deliberately deceiving us. For instance. everybody now says that they want to “secure the border”. Big deal, that should have been done twenty years ago. But what they have up their sleeve is what they intend to do with the millions that are already over here. They do not intend to deport them by taking away the jobs and benefits. No they want “comprehensive immigration reform”. Another lie, all that means is amnesty with a few little tweaks here and there. The Democrats want them to stay, keep having babies and eventually get citizenship for them, so that they will, of course, vote Democrat. The faux Republicans want an unending sea of cheap labor with temporary work visas.
