This is so stupid. I am for unemployment benefits, but you have to be a real nut to think it’s going to add jobs in any real way.
If it did, why doesn’t the government give everyone a free $50k check a year, working or not. That way, we’d all be spending more.
I TOTALLY agree with you. Any ignorant worthless FReeper (and there are plenty of idiots on this site) who wants to do away with Unemployment can pound sand. The unemployed are not unemployed because they want to be.
But Unemployment benefits do not create jobs. They are temporary assistance until a job can be found. How the hell does unemployment benefits create jobs? I'm lost.
