Hockey Mom Running for Senate Seat In Wisconsin Recall Election Tues 8/16
kim simac for statesenate ^ | 8/11/2011

Posted on 08/10/2011 11:06:45 PM PDT by curth

Kim Simac owns a small business in which she raises and trains horses. Together she and her husband raised 9 children in the Eagle River area. They enjoy their 8 grandchildren and work hard to keep the Northwoods a vibrant place where families such as theirs can continue.

Kim is also a former radio host and an award winning author and publisher of patriotic children’s books. Her dedication to promoting American principles and values has established Kim as a nationally recognized public speaker. Kim is also a board member of the Northwoods Angelican Foundation, a board member of the Northwoods Hunter Jumper Circuit, a member of the United State Equestrian Federation and the NRA.

She is the founder of the Northwoods Patriots located in Eagle River. She is the 1st Vice Chair of the Vilas County Republican Party and President of the Republican Women of the North. When Jim Holperin ran away instead of fighting for the people of the Northwoods, Kim led the effort to gather more than 23,000 signatures to recall him.

Kim was overwhelmed by the positive reaction the recall received and by the many people who enthusiastically urged her to run. Kim considers the position as an elected official to be one of duty and honor, not a career. She decided to run because she knows the Northwoods needs a voice that isn’t afraid of challenges and a voice that won’t run away from the responsibility of representing the people of the 12th District in Northern Wisconsin.

One raises horses and rears children.

Kos sanctioned polls have her down 6%, but those same polls had King up by 9 (won by 2) and Shilling up 14 (won by 10).

So it looks like a very tight race. Hopefully the Dims are gassed out after yesterdays loss.

It’s impossible for the Dems to take the lead, so I bet they won’t put down their crack pipe long enough to vote. Why waste the time away from MTV?

Lord, I hope she wins. Did Obama or McCain carry her District; does anyone know?

There's still an opportunity next week to replace Democrat Jim Holperin with a TeaParty candidate (Kim Simac) in a majority Republican district.

Great work this week; best to WI next week!

You know, as much as I would like to help ($$) make this happen I think this is truly a Wisconsin fight.

If the people of Wisconsin are NOT committed enough ($$ & getting out the 'right' vote) to make this happen then they (the people of Wisconsin) deserve what they get in the end.

That may sound cold but we all have our OWN fields to take care of.

I agree. The position isn’t a federal one.

Some areas are very conservative, and the Republican candidate is bound to win easily. Other places are very evenly split, and the difference in an election may be a fraction of a percent.

I have sent money to places far from my district in order to help candidates who are in tough fights.

That's not true. One of the Republican winners from this past Tuesday is about to switch parties, giving the Democrats a majority in the Senate. The Republicans need to win at least one of the recall elections happening next week.

The radical left does not have the same honor and principles. They flood the campaigns with millions of dollars, often from union dues.

Unbelievable! I’m beginning to wonder about the great state of WI.

On the other hand the two most conservative of our only three elected officials in DC joined the dem and voted for the debt deal. So I have no room to squawk.

Please....every one who reads this....go to Mrs. Simac's web site (google "kim simac")...and donate $5.

I know it's not much...but this is FR...and this is crunch time....

And the idiots in western wi voted in a pig to take the place of Senator Dan Kapanke. We NEED Mrs. Simac to counter balance the awful leftist effects of the "Disaster on the Mississippi" that happened last Tuesday.

Please help!
