Politicians rely on a steady state system if they are going to pillage. When their armed guards start dangling from trees, it's time to get out of Dodge. I might suggest that the skin-head, bloused boot thugs start planning on where they can hide. A Glock doesn't have the range of an M-1 or a .308 deer rifle...
