We can assume that Perry registered when he came of voting age

No, "We" can't, I'll leave rhe assuming business to you. I don't know when Perry registered to vote anymore than I know who he voted for. What is known is that Perry was born and raised in a conservative, hardscrabble Haskell County environment, where there were no Republicans for miles and miles around.

And you really can lay off the Romney like hammering on Reagan.

Quit comparing Reagan to Romney becoming an independent during the Reagan years, I mean Perry being anti-Reagan during the Reagan years.

...no matter what you and Mitt Romney say about Reagan.

Saying that I've hammered Reagan and comparing me to Romney is ludicrous.

Well, I guess I should have seen this coming. Even though I've made it clear in my posts that Reagan is the best Republican who ever lived, let me reiterate, Ronald Reagan is the greatest US President of my lifetime!

When you find yourself stooping to the level of insult and unfounded accusations, ansel12, you've already lost the argument.

Perry's father was a powerful democrat politician in their county, Perry was a cheerleader in college when it was time for him to register, Perry is a career politician himself and won his first democrat office when the rest of Texas was voting for Reagan, even after Reagan left office Perry signed up to run the Texas portion of the left wing Al Gore's (ACU of 9) campaign.

We can assume that the college attending cheerleader son of a local democrat politician registered to vote in the year that the 26th Amendment to the Constitution was passed, in the year when the 18 to 29 year old voter participation was higher than it has ever been in our history and in a year of high national turn out and passions.
