'Not a Lady': Allen West Blasts DNC (Allen West stands tall and straight on the facts)
Conservative Byte ^ | July 20, 2011 | Staff

A Republican congressman from Florida turned to email on Tuesday to call a Democratic colleague from the state “vile, despicable and cowardly” after she criticized his stance on Medicare when he was away from the House floor.

Rep. Allen West, a first-term Republican from south Florida, wasn’t shy about his online outburst. He sent his peppery email to numerous lawmakers as well as his target, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.

The subject line of the email: “Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman Schultz.”

The e-mail said: “Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up.”

I admire his restraint. He never once uttered the word “skank.”

LOL!! Nor "stank", either!

I agree. Wasserman-Schultz is everything he dais. She is one of Pelosi’s lackeys who keep lying about what the Republicans want to do to Seniors. The truth is, the Republicans have never proposed any legislation which effects current recipients of Mdicare and Social Security. Theirr proposals would affect future recipients at least 10 years or more in the future. But that doesn’t stop Schultz from continuing to tell the lie. During the 2010 campaign, she showed up at West rallies and did everything she could to defeat him. Fortunately, she didn’t succeeed.

Debbie is such a Lair

I saw a former CBO head who is familiar with Obama's secret debt plan.

He said that the Government's most successful program Medicare part D ( Bush's fault prescription drug plan that estimates were lower than actual costs)

That the Obama Plan will raise premiums on Seniors by 40%.

The House should pass a resolution stating that DWS is the most vile, contemptuous and cowardly Representative ever.

If only more Republicans and other Conservatives would be so straight forward and honest

Yip. I'm tired of "My steadfast friend and honored colleague was perhaps misspoken when he stated that....."

Tell it like it is. If More liars were called out, there would be Less off them.

These days people act like having hurt feelings or being insulted is against the law. Political correctness is probably the biggest cause our country’s current downfall because you cannot criticise anyone or anything today (unless your a progressive and the media turns a blind eye) When someone like Allen West or Chris Christie says something controversial and stand fast, it is a wonderful breath of fresh air. It almost seems unnatural.

This is one way to take back our country, say what you mean and mean what you say. Hurt feelings? So what! Cry me a river..

All of us need to follow this mantra in our daily lives.

http://www.thestreet.com/story/11193086/1/new-analysis-plans-to-add-rebates-to-medicare-part-d-would-greatly-increase-monthly-premiums-for-17-million-seniors.html

The proposal to add Medicaid-style rebates to the Medicare Part D program has been introduced in Congress by Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). It was also endorsed by the White House in The President's Framework for Shared Prosperity and Shared Fiscal Responsibility fact sheet, which was released by the White House on April 13, 2011.

In addition to raising premiums, the new rebates could increase prescription drug costs for other Medicare beneficiaries as well as the general public. Fifty percent of the value of any rebates would be absorbed by Americans who purchase prescription drugs outside of Medicaid programs. According to the analysis, "to the extent that deeper discounts are paid to the government, a share of manufacturers' added costs for these discounts could ultimately be borne by consumers, either within Part D or in other markets."

I thought West’s email, while maybe a little blunter than I would have written it, was wholly appropriate. What Wasserman-Schutlz said on the floor was indeed despicable, and she deserved to be called on it.

I just hope he’s not pressured into a major apology/backpeddle by the party powers-that-be. The lefties are playing a card from the HRC deck (i.e. “oh, how can you pick on a woman!”) and that’s bound to make a few folks at the RNC nervous. Personally, I don’t think he owes her anything.

I have a neighbor who has a small agency that handles insurance for small businesses. He calls himself 'Their HR department'.

Was talking to him a while ago and made a wisecrack about ObamaCare. His reply? "You have no idea how many companies this is going to drive out of business. People that I'm talking to are selling, retiring, or just saying 'To heck with it'."

One of the messages on the thread was: >>We can all call Allen West’s office and show our support: 954-202-6211<<

I did exactly that and got an aide or secretary and asked her to send my greetings and admiration for Mr. West’s handling of the situation.

She promised to send my greetings along to Rep. West. :)

I hope we don’t swamp them but the more support we can send his way the better for him AND us!

(not that it matters but I wonder if she was a cute as her voice...)

:)
