You left out part of the story, you lying hack -- Bachmann ended being disgusted with Carter and worked for the REAGAN campaign in 1980.
You can't even get your facts straight:

During Carter's presidency, Bachmann became disappointed with his liberal approach to public policy, support for legalized abortion and economic decisions she held responsible for increased gas prices. In the 1980 presidential election, she voted for Ronald Reagan and worked for his campaign.

Bachmann grew up in a Democratic family and worked on Jimmy Carter's campaign during college. But throughout Carter's presidency, Bachmann says she grew disappointed with his liberal approach to public policy, from support for legalized abortion to economic decisions that sent gas prices soaring. Next election she voted for Reagan.
You just called BC a lying hack, BC is a veteran highly respected poster here! It`s one thing to call little ole me names, but attacking the most respected people here, will not make you many friends
I have never called anybody the names you call people, the latest from you is calling BC a lying hack...do you not know that is wrong?
Reagan ran in 1976. Being such a newbie on FR, you probably did not know this.
Bachmann could have supported Reagan over Ford in 1976. Instead she chose the worst of the three-—Jimmy Carter.
Let’s see...
Bachmann ditches her Church six days before she announces for President, because it has some anti-Catholic bigotry on its website, bigotry that she has known about since it surfaced during her first run for Congress in 2006. Yet she waits until just before her Presidential run to resign.
Three questions. Why did she resign from the Church? Why did she resign from the Church at this particular time? and How can we be assured that she will not abandon conservative principles when it is politically expedient to do so?
