And you have made the mistake of thinking there is some perfect plan which will placate the MSM and the Tea Party. You CANNOT circle that square, the MSM will dislike any plan the Republicans come up with. See we fall into the trap that we can play chess better than the Democrats, that we can checkmate them. That is the mistake and the sometimes silliness here on FR, there is no plan that will nuke the media and the Dems, none. See we play chess with them, we take their queen and a rook and guess what they change the board pieces and add back two queens and three rooks. So McConnell needs to do what is right, DESPITE what the MSM howls about. The whole game of political maneuvering is what Democrats want us to do, engage them in that circle jerk, they laugh at all our closed door meetings with the Mulatto Marxist. The fact that we are there is a joke to them, like Charles Huntziger negotiating with Hitler on that train car in Compiègne in 1940 for an armistice. Reagan used to lay out his priciples and then have the Democrats come to him and negoiate their terms, it’s what works and gets you electoral landslides, not trying desperately to not to anger old Jewish ladies in Boca Raton or black college students in Atalanta. They hate you anyways, so ignore them, we can drag their brains dead carcasses along when we crush them at the ballot box.

No, I haven’t done that at all. I am working on the assumption that anything Obama and the MSM agree on is catastrophic for the country, which I think is sufficiently evident. I am assuming that if what McConnell proposes is accepted, even in principle by Obama, then it is bad and the only way to defeat it is to have conservatives united...and united against the alliance of Obama and McConnell. I don’t see how the cause is advanced if that were to happen, and logically, it is an outcome that “could” happen, if Obama accepts the McConnell proposal.

Obviously McConnell needs to “do what is right”. The difficult question is determining just what is right. And as a general rule, I sure as hell trust DeMint’s judgment and values more than McConnell’s. But not that DeMint is opposing what McConnell has proposed, I am simply hoping that THIS TIME, McConnell has a superior read of the situation.
