“Lockert, a former state prosecutor, says it’s the worst case of excessive force he’s ever seen.” ... Ya think?

“The officers involved remain on the job pending the TBI’s investigation.”
YOU or ME would be in jail right now, NOT still free and on the job.

well obviously the guy deserved it, there wasn’t a dog to shoot and the cops were highly disappointed

Why would they strip the clothes off this man?
The pack syndrome is strong in police officers, and if you give any indication you do not respect them, you get an ass kicking..
Note: They don’t have to respect you.

It’s things like this that have me not so trusting of the police anymore.

His crime was Contempt of Cop. He's lucky he survived. These Sadists have done this a lot, if they thought they could get away with again...
I'll wager there are whole lots of county residents, and vagrants who traveled thru, who whisper and go all pale when Humphrey is mentioned.
Time was the term was "protect and serve." Now it's, "Let's hurt some civilians."

"Our client was in a no win situation," says Lockert. "If he obeys the officers' commands and tries to comply, he's kicked and beaten and tazed. If he doesn't move, he's hit and beaten and tazed." That's a feature, not a bug.

If you have ever been tasered, beaten, stripped nekkid, handcuffed and then left in the snow...you might be a redneck.

I’ve been robbed one time in my life —it was by 2 uniformed San Francisco Police Officers.
I have no tattoos, wear no hip-hop clothing, pack no attitude, carry no weapons, and I don’t go to bars. I also have never done any recreational drugs.
I also don’t go around swearing.
I used to trust the cops, but now I do not.
DON’T BE STUPID AND TRUST THE COPS.

Come on, folks.
They’re unionized.
They enforce LAWS.
Since 9-11...
They’re HEROES!!!!
(In reality, they are a typical part of the “Standing Army” our Founders justifiably feared.)

If that had occurred at the Wepledge homestead there would
been some dead folks of one type or another. My famly would never stand by and watch that sadistic bunch. Those cops’
faces should be plastered everywhere to warn the public of
the dangers their “public servants” present and give them a chance to avoid becoming the next victim.
I wish I could say with confidence these men are an aberration and do not represent the larger law enforcement
community but I can't.
It seems to be an “us against them” sentiment rising in
civilian law enforcement which brings on an equal feeling
among the public.Just the way BHO and crew want it no doubt.

It use to be to serve and protect. Now it’s to serve and protect themselves. Most police forces are now for, about and of themselves. The only use the public has in the current scheme is to provide the necessary funds and enough ‘criminals’ to justify it all.
