Prosecution unfortunately didn’t answer adequately the jurors desire to understand motive. The motive was the same as Susan Smith’s motive, and one that the jurors could understand based on their knowledge of that case.

I agree with you. It did come out initially, but what was he, about the 5th witness? I'm sure the lazy nitwits on that panel who couldn't EVEN BE BOTHERED TO TAKE MANY NOTES didn't have enough long-term memory brain cells between them to remember this fact. The prosecution should have pounded it more, but then again this gang was so thick they could have drawn them a picture and it wouldn't have done any good.
