U.S. wants Seoul to try harder for talks
Source: No attempt to involve the North
June 27, 2011
Despite reaffirming that inter-Korean talks should precede the resumption of six-party talks on North Koreas denuclearization - a call directed at the North - the U.S. is exerting pressure on South Korea to do its part to improve inter-Korean relations, a diplomatic source in Washington told the JoongAng Ilbo yesterday.
The reaffirmation of Seoul-Washington coordination came during a meeting in Washington on Friday between South Koreas foreign minister and high-ranking officials in the U.S. Department of State, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The source, however, said the U.S. has used several meetings between officials of the two countries to urge the South to make active efforts to unravel tangled knots and quickly get down to the long-protracted North Korean nuclear issue.

The source said the Obama administration is concerned about the impact that any possible additional provocation from the North could make on next years U.S. presidential election and wants momentum to defuse tension on the Korean Peninsula such as the suspension of the Norths uranium enrichment program.

LOL. He finally plays into Kim's hand. NK will take tributes from Zero and set it off anyway.
P!
B.S.
China (like Russia) wants the turkey to be re-elected, to be their patsy for four more years. They will keep the muzzle on Kimmy & his successor.
Kim does not always toe China’s line. He wants to force China to intercede and pressure SK or U.S. to appease NK and stay quiet for a while. This has been a pattern for some time and he is doing it again, by talking belligerently right after his trip to China, where Chinese were said to have told Kim to be ‘more flexible,’ when dealing with S. Korea.
Pretty much. I can think of no one they would rather have in the White House.
LOL
I’m starting to wonder if and when this marxist turd will see the writing on the wall and NOT run again. Or be asked by his party to not do so.
IF things do not turn around pretty soon he and his socialist party will be toast.
