exactly, my thought. Kidnapped kids and brought them there from everywhere.

I recall a FR thread a year or more ago about the family vacation. A truck driver grabbed a little girl taking her back to his truck. Grandma (IIRC) ran screaming and yelling after them and was shot and killed. The dad called 911 and followed the trucker and they caught him.
