Indeed. After admitting full guilt as he apparently has just done, the only thing "good" at this point would be his resignation. IOW, now that he has gone for the full mea culpa, any further evidence of indiscretion on his part can't be used against him. He'll just say something like, "I've come clean, and now ask you to respect me and my wife's privacy as we deal with this difficult matter", or some other BS like that.

No, the only win here for us is if he does resign. Or, a defeat for him at the polls (at least one would hope, but as I implied upthread, this is NY we're talking about here).

This isn't something we're going to be able to beat him up over. Look at Barney Frank for goodness sakes. Is he harmed by his admitted past scandals? No, sadly this puts an end to "Wienergate", mainly because Democrats can't be shamed into anything.
