Prices went way up in most countries when Euro was introduced. I’m talking about bread, tomatoes and daily stuff not what a central banker might see in 20 years.

If the prices for produce went way up that has to have had spurred local truck farm production. Even in Russia now, smaller producers account for a large amount of their overall agricultural production. Somebody with a few acres of good farmland can make a lot of money.
