Legalize all drugs and you have more Mexican cartels representatives.
When you have someone hooked on something you can have them do anything you want, drugs or booze your owned due to your own weakness and others will pay for it.

I'm not a fan of drugs. I have supported the Drug War for many years.

I see what is happening in Mexico. I see the growth of power and oppression and corruption within our own government. I have begun to believe that we have been on a path that does not lead to success.

I am not convinced that I have the answer, but my current thought is that if drug use led people to die alone in alleyways, then the demand might diminish. I think much of what we have been doing has jacked up the profitability of illegal drugs, while providing social services that enable people to survive while being owned by others due to their weakness and addiction.

In other words: our current policies make this a great way for vicious thugs to get rich, and a way for fools to very slowly and imperceptibly slip into a shadow realm of a miserable life. I'd like to make the profits much smaller for the suppliers, and the costs much greater for the users.

Garbage. Why don't the cartels simply move in and run the alcohol trade, which is much bigger than the drug trade? Answer: A black market is no match for a well regulated and reasonably taxed market like alcohol.

When you have someone hooked on something you can have them do anything you want, drugs or booze your owned due to your own weakness and others will pay for it.

So do advocate making alcohol illegal?
