Yes. I find it odd that some people are suggesting Rand is a Christian's best ally. Don't you think it's absurd? A philosophy which characterizes the greatest acts of human self-sacrifice as a foolish vice while insisting that avarice is an enlightened virtue... well, one may as well call that satanic. Because that is the sort of thing we have come to expect from satanism: good is evil, evil is good, a reversal of vice and virture.

Materialism, whether it's individualistic or collectivist removes all focus from our real purpose, and the purpose of all creation: glorify God and serve him. The only substantive difference between Communism and Objectiveism is the notion of the role of the individual vis-a-vie others.

People dress up all sorts of things in "Christian" robes. I think GK Chesterton explained it best when he said “Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried.” It's easier to be greedy and lazy than it is to be a disciple of Christ. Actually, it's easiest to not consider Him at all, which is why so few people do.
