Solid commentary. This whole Trump fiasco is an embarrassment. This is a guy who's on record supporting single-payer healthcare and has donated plenty to Democrats. Conservatives that embrace him are deluding themselves and desperate.

Ross Perot, all over again, however this time on steroids!

But, since I am only a little "r" republican these days the choice is up to party members. I only hope they choose wisely; albeit faint hope as the GOP primary system is still totally broken, IMHO.

Loks like the Obama Supporters are having a major hissy fit....and all the linking Trump to Soros stuff is not working

The problem is not with Trump....the problem is a Liberal GOP who is more in tune with protecting Barack Obama than pushing for the release of his Long Form BC.

Also, the Phony Con media of Beck, Coulter, Levin, O’Reilly, Breitbart, and others who have attacked Birthers, and provided cover for Obama

Had the GOP and GOP Media took Obama Eligibility seriously...there would be no Trump, and no Obama.

Trump, nor the American people, are the ones to blame. Blame the anti-Birthers in the GOP

So why is he so popular? What can the other potential Rep candidates learn from him? I notice that Bachmann is now taking up the BC issue. The Donald is communicating with the people. He has tapped into what concerns and motivates them. Instead of castigating Trump, we should be demanding that the other candidates start acting like Trump when it comes to attacking Obama's personal narrative.

The embarrassment is that we have a bunch of tired old politicians as candidates who aren't connecting with the voters. They are afraid to talk about Obama's phony and contrived past and his curious associations with terrorists, racists, and mobsters. McCain ruled out going after Obama on these issues in 2008. The current crop of potential GOP candidates, except for Trump, seem to be following the same line, i.e., they will talk about policy but shy away from any personal attacks on Obama where he is most vulnerable.

I’m one of the biggest Palin supporters there is. But do you understand why Joe Sixpack and Suzie SoccerMom might like a gruff, straight shooting guy who doesn’t hold back in his criticism and derision of Obama, the Democrats and the RINOs? A guy who talks about taboo subjects like the birth certificate, China and OPEC? In my opinion, Governor Palin is the most outspoken of the other candidates and deserves a second look from everyone here and voters everywhere. Watch her speech in Wisconsin last weekend!

All of you folks trashing Trump, and looking for the next “Reagan” to pop up and lead us out of this wilderness - - it’s just not gonna happen. Sadly, Reagan is gone, and is not coming back. (I voted for him twice). This is now 2012 not 1980.

This fight is not about Liberal vs Conservative. It’s about a Socialist vs America. It’s about our survival.

Whining for an ideological litmus test, is only going to marginalize things.

People are clamoring for a FIGHTER to save this country.

We need someone has has the GUTS to fight, and has record of FIGHTING.

The only two in the hunt so far that have that in their resume is PALIN and TRUMP. Everyone else, is just another wannabe.

I truly don’t care anymore on the “conservative” label, I only care about RESULTS in saving this country from socialism.

There are several million of us who have been waiting for Sarah to give the "go" signal.

The minute she does, The Donald will be nothing but a bleached cowlick in the rear-view mirror.

ineluctable

Palin /West would be great;
Trump/ Palin would be great.
3rd party would re-elect the commie.

come on we just want them to attack. that's all we're asking for is for these RINOs to man up and trash obama. sick of the same old cowardly half-hearted answers and distancing from the right-wing.

and the ones that do seem to have some guts sometimes seem incapable of putting two sentences together.

Truth is all the old reruns and the yawn plenty and the indiana toll road runt, have had a long time to light a fire, but they all seem to be working with old wet wood. Old trump just hooked a turbo and went after it.

It’s early yet, real early. Getting all worked up over Trump’s popularity now is premature.

What Donald Trump’s Popularity Means for the Rest of the 2012 Field

That there’s a certain part of the primary electorate that would vote for anything, and I mean anything, with enough money that started yelling “Where’s the birth certificate?”

It would be a pity if Trump split the conservative vote, thus allowing a second term for Premier Hussein.

The United States would not survive it in any recognizable form.

A whole lot of Trump’s social and political baggage has to be washed out before he gets mixed in with people like Palin, Bachmann, Cane etc. I would have included West but am very disapponted in his position as to being VP with Trump. He, West, is an honorable man so perhaps he knows Trump’s past is realy and truely water gone by.

IMHO....The Donald =The Empire Strikes Back.

The RinoCrat Oligarchy is scared spitless of a Palin Presidency...and the prospects of Flyover Country insisting upon Constitutional Government.

this is their “solution”....
