What you have said is profoundly true. Very nicely said.
If there is truth to the words, “we get the leaders we deserve” in this Republic, I can accept that. Now, however, so many do sorrow for having trusted in men in the first place instead of their Maker, and in a particular man to our regret as a nation. Perhaps this newfound wisdom of our foolishness will guide our trust to its proper place, and we will then come to deserve a better leader when its time.

Anti-Trumpers who are focused on conservative "ideology" should keep in mind what happened in Michigan in the 2010 Governor's election. Two Conservative Republicans, both generally acceptable to the Tea Party, lost in the Primary to a Republican businessman, who's ideological drive was almost non-existent but who was most identified with the ability to apply business principles to government management. The businessman then went on to an overwhelming victory in the general election - in Michigan folks, Michigan. I think the pollsters will be very interested in the Michigan Republican presidential polls.
