This is an eyebrow-raising development, one which makes this ground zero in the fight for control of the U.S. Senate. It could easily go either way.

The sad thing is that Kaine probably has a good, even a very good chance of winning. And, let's face it. Virginia is a state that is incredibly dependent on the FedGov, especially NoVA or Norfolk. When Virginians start to read through that GOP Budget, many are going to run in the opposite direction precisely because they don't want the FedGov to shrink.

The war that is coming is between the providers of tax revenue and the consumer of tax revenue, and VA is squarely on the consumer side, sadly.
