What am I missing. If this is about the supreme court overturning the way the law was passed, can’t the legislature just vote again?
The union made it an issue. Hopefully WI will slap them down.
In this case it would shift the balance of power of the court to liberal - more than just this issue would be at stake.
If prosser loses, a liberal supreme court majority will overturn all Walker reforms. It won’t matter how many times the Legislature votes, the court will control ALL public policy.
They are saying that because of the political sentiment, they will not have the votes to pass it again
If the Dems lose this, it’s going to be a HUGE slap in the face to the Moonbat Left, who have been pulling out all the stops, legal and otherwise, to prove a point with this election.
The case hasn’t been heard by the WI Supreme court yet. If the lib gets in and they pull politics like the Florida Supreme Court did in 2000, they could set precedent allowing judges to declare laws unconstitutional before enacted.
That’s my theory, if I am wrong I hope someone lets me know.
